To be pissed off at myself (and him)

Was meant to be watching my nephew put on a show this morning at school.

My partner was ill yesterday and spent most of the night being performativly ill (basically making as much noise as he could going to the loo, loud yawns, loud sighs). Kept waking me up until at least 5am. It's a small house so any noise really travels.

I've fucking slept in (despite two alarms set) and totally missed the event. I feel like utter crap about it and that I've let my nephew down. Right now I don't feel like talking to him and I'm angry at myself! Was looking forward to it too ☹️☹️☹️

So sorry you missed your Nephew's event! I mean if this was me, I'd be more annoyed at the situation rather at my partner, which in turn would make me a moody shit with DH 😅 Men are just so naturally LOUD. Sneezing, coughing, eating urgh. We both came down with Norovirus a few days ago and I was sick all night and he barely noticed. The next night it was his turn and to say that I thought Bigfoot was in my bathroom is an understatement 🙄

How do you sleep through 2 alarms !

I sleep terribly especially in the early morning so don't generally have that problem but I just don't get it......

Oh no! Brew

You will have to take him out to make up for it but give yourself a break, you were knackered, everyone makes mistakes.

SevenWaystoLeave · 05/04/2022 21:52

I understand the disappointment but you must have been knackered to sleep through two alarms. Give yourself a break.

It happens. I set three spaced apart the other week and slept through them all. For me it depends on where I am in the sleep cycle when they go off.
