Am I the only one that has noticed holes in discussions, missing chunks of conversations?

Is this because the missing parts are posted by paid MN subscribers do you think?

Not sure I know what you mean? Can you post a picture? Could it be ad space, if you’re using an ad blocker?

Castleheights · 04/04/2022 10:31

No ad blocked. I have read a few posts this morning where someone will post a reply to another poster. When I scroll back up to see the original message there isn’t one! I’ll try find an example.

Is it because messages are deleted?

WeCouldBeSpearows · 04/04/2022 10:39

I've had this before, but I've assumed that I've just missed it. I've never checked thoroughly.

ApolloandDaphne · 04/04/2022 10:39

I've never seen that unless a post has been deleted.

SilverDragonfly1 · 04/04/2022 10:41

I've noticed that a couple of times recently- and the replies don't indicate the post missing was in any way problematic.

If it is a premium thing, that's really bizarre and not going to encourage anyone to join.

Dundonian · 04/04/2022 10:43

I know what you mean, OP. Seen it quite a bit. A previous post is quoted or responded to but, when you scroll back up to find the post, it's not there.

Castleheights · 04/04/2022 10:43

I think I have worked it out….
Can you change the order that posts appear? I think the most recent is being shown first! Which is silly because I can’t see the original op and everything reads backwards. Any ideas what have. I done please?

I don't get what's different with paid subscribers? Is it like twitter where if you have a private account no one else can see your reply, which can make whole twitter threads really bizarre

AllotmentTime · 04/04/2022 10:43

I’ve had that!!

SophieSoSo · 04/04/2022 10:43

I’ve seen that today, can’t remember the thread now but assumed it was a glitch.

Yes, you can change the order
Lou98 · 04/04/2022 10:45

I've been getting that a lot recently, sometimes I'll be able to see a reply but then it's as if it's just disappeared!

Ponoka7 · 04/04/2022 10:46

Did you click CK on 'flip this thread'? It's on the list when you press the blue arrow.

3beesinmybonnet · 04/04/2022 10:50

Yes I've seen this a few times

Castleheights · 04/04/2022 11:17

Thank you ! @Ponoka7 I didn’t realise I had flipped the thread.
However there are still holes/patches missing.

CornyAsACornyThing · 04/04/2022 11:32

I've seen this a few times, yes, where I can't find the poster the op/another replies to by name.
