to wonder if Boris Johnson knew that his son's swing had been broken at the drunken party in Downing Street the night before Prince Phillip's funeral?

www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/apr/03/fines-issued-over-downing-street-party-the-night-before-philips-funeral

sources said those who partied into the early hours in No 10 on 16 April 2021 had also been warned they would receive fines.

The event caused consternation due to the contrast between it and the Queen’s strict adherence to social distancing rules by sitting alone at the funeral of her husband of 73 years.

Meanwhile, Downing Street staff were said to have got so drunk that they broke the swing used by the prime minister’s son, Wilf, in the No 10 garden, while a staff member was sent out to the local supermarket to pack full a suitcase of wine and another acted as a DJ.

It's bad enough they broke lockdown laws. But to get drunk and then break the swing of the PM's son....

Did Johnson forget that the swing had been broken? Did he even get told?

Because in Parliament he said

"He told Keir Starmer during prime minister’s questions on 1 December 2021: “What I can tell the right honourable and learned gentleman is that all guidance was followed completely in No 10.”

YABU if you believe for a single second that Johnson a) tells the truth or b) gives a shit about anyone else, HM included.

He's a corrupt shambling overweight fucktard. He has shamed Britain over and over and over again.

It would make for an interesting AIBU.

My husband's work mates had a party in our garden, got very drunk and broke our son's slide.

I won't post what I wish had happened when he contracted C19, but you get the gist. He'd have deserved it, given the way he played fast and loose with the health.of so many others. And I really don't care if that sounds dreadful of me.

Sources also revealed that they put the empties in the general refuse bin because the blue recycling bin was full from a previous event. Don't the idiots realise this will lead to vulnerable people and hard working families not bothering to recycle their own empties because there shouldn't be one rule for them and another for us.

What does any of it even matter?

Johnson is untouchable - and will be voted in again at the next election.

If I was at PMQS this week, this is how I would frame the question.

"Does the Prime Minister remember the night when his son's swing got broken after a drunken party in the Downing Street Garden? "

You are assuming that he spends anything more than the minimum amount of time he can with his children. So it is entirely possible he didn't notice.

Not that in one bit excuses the party.

Mumoblue · 04/04/2022 08:16

YABU if you believe he was unaware and also not taking part.

Dailywalk · 04/04/2022 08:17

Boris Johnson probably doesn’t even know his son has a swing never mind that it got broken.
