To be sick of his TikTok obsession?!

I've been seeing a guy for 5 months and at first I thought it was funny that he would share these funny videos with me.

We'd watch it together and laugh.

Now I'm 5 months in with a man who sends them to me all day whilst he's working and I'm working, we go to bed, he's on it, he wakes up in the night and he's on it, I wake up from a Sunday nap and he's on it, he wakes me up playing videos at 5am in the week when I don't have to be up until 7.

I woke up at 5am this morning because he was on it.

We were meant to be having a nice snuggly Sunday today, he's barely touched me because he's obsessed with his phone.

I've just woken up from a nap in a rage because he's woke me up yet again playing TikTok's. It's ridiculous. This man is in his 30s.

I'm sorry, but my respect for him would be out the window!
Have you told him how you feel? It could be that he thinks you still enjoy and appreciate the videos Smile

I've stopped replying to him when he sends me videos in the hope he gets the hint that I'm at work for one and two, he's obsessed!

It's not the sharing with me that annoys me, it's the constantly being on it.

TikTok is stupidly addictive, I have been guilty of wasting an hour or two on it and I thought that was extreme!
He sounds seriously addicted.
I think I’d be insisting that when we were together his phone goes in here so he is fully present. Waking up in the night to watch TikTok is crazy. I’m not sure I could put up with that.

Nothing wrong with wanting proper quality time

VladmirsPoutine · 03/04/2022 14:54

I'm assuming that given it's been 5 months you must have repeatedly told him how much it annoys you and detracts from your time together. If he's not changed or has only done so for a few days at a time before reverting to it then he probably doesn't really want to stop.

Huh? Why are you hinting instead of just talking? Confused
