Has anyone studied OU module about sustainability? EMA query

I have end of module submission due next week.

I have only 5 days left to submission but I havent written much. My mind is not working after reading sustainability reports of my chosen company over 5 years. The reports are badly structured almost give impression that company wants to make it hard for reader to review. I am not able to retain much information in my head when I move from one report to another. Now I have started to have doubts about EMA questions.
I have already defered this last year due to mental breakdown after a very stressful year and relocating to a new. country. Now I am in India visiting dm after 2+ years and dealing with a lot here.
This is my first EMA. Was anyone able to finish report in one week?

Hello fellow OU student.

Firstly, there’s a Mature Students topic in Education, it might be worth asking in there.

I haven’t done that module but from the ones I have done, I would say the following. Firstly, stop, take a breath and relax. 5 days is actually a lot of time. Take a look at the guidance notes in the EMA, they usually give some very clear pointers about what you should be including in your answers . Are there any recorded tutorials about the EMA you could watch ?

My best piece of advice is just start writing - literally just start writing what you can. Don’t worry about structure or word count or anything else at this point - just start writing. Get as much as you can down on paper and only then start to sort it into a more coherent structure. Keep checking with the guidance to ensure you’re covering the points they specify.

I always find getting starting is the hardest part. Good luck!

If you're struggling look on fb for a group for your module. They'll no doubt be one or two for this year.

I've done EMA's in a week yes. But it has been quite draining time wise and I've been fairly confident in what i'm doing. But it depends on what mark you're aiming for and the level of the module.

It sounds like you need to find some kind of mechanism to make notes when reviewing these reports. Perhaps a excel table type format to directly compare them and notes with ease.

Your comments on difficulty interpreting them is a point you can add in somewhere. You'll get additional marks for critical analysis.

Thank you so much to you both, @Williamshatnershorses, @Antsinmypantsneedtodance. It was nice to hear, that it is still possible to produce a decent report.

I think I am thinking too much and confusing myself. I have stored data in excel tables and taken notes but then I get bogged down in the details. I am involved in house renovation here, and the weather is 40C. And after a few hours, I start feeling I can't look at the reports anymore.

I have stopped re-reading the module blocks and have gone back to writing, I agree I should clean my report after I answered all parts. Will also see if I can find fb group for my module. Thank you both again Smile

I think @Antsinmypantsneedtodance makes a good point too about the mark you are aiming for and the level of the module. A pass is a pass at the end of the day.
