Bit of a lighthearted thread really, as it's not a bit deal, but just made me eye roll a bit this morning
I'm a SAHM with a toddler and a 7 month old. Today DH is taking them both out for the morning, which is amazing- a whole 3 hrs to myself. So, I've been running around hoovering, loading dishwasher, putting laundry on etc., so I don't have to do chores when they've left. DH has also been doing jobs, good jobs, but not ones that need doing now. He's just disappeared off upstairs with a "Can you get them ready whilst I have a quick shower?
Firstly, i rarely get to have a relaxing shower on my own, because I'm always trying to entertain a baby, and sometimes toddler, at the same time. Secondly, getting them ready is the thing I find the most stressful when taking them out. So, I had to clean their teeth, brush their hair, sort socks, shoes, coats, carrier / pushchair, pack a bag (nappies, spare clothes, snacks), then breastfeed the little one...
AIBU to think that when you offer to take the kids out, that involves the hassley bit of actually getting them out of the door too?? I think I probably am being unreasonable and should just enjoy the peace and quiet, but I feel like he should experience the full joy of getting everyone out of the house!
