No, but I had to ring the council today to update some details and they had a recorded message saying payments will be issued in batches between 5th April (start of the tax year) and 10th May.

Hospedia · 01/04/2022 19:13

6th April that should say, pressed wrong number

TerraNovaTwo · 01/04/2022 19:13

No

MadisonMontgomery · 01/04/2022 19:14

I think they’ve got up to 30th September to pay it.

TheGrinchsDog · 01/04/2022 20:20

Yes but Scotland here so don't know if that makes a difference?

Dovesofpeace · 01/04/2022 20:21

Not yet

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 01/04/2022 20:22

No
How do you get it is not on direct debit ?

Chloemol · 01/04/2022 20:23

No and it’s not a rebate

Whelmed · 01/04/2022 20:23

No, I haven't got direct debit set up for our CT so I'm not sure how we'd get it.

TheGrinchsDog · 01/04/2022 20:23

Oh wait no sorry! I haven't had an actual cash rebate if that's what you mean?

I've had the Council Tax letter through calculated for the year from today till March and it just confirms they've taken the £150 off my bill. Was there an option for cash? I can't remember.

TheGrinchsDog · 01/04/2022 20:24

I pay by D/D btw.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 01/04/2022 20:24

No.

pastypirate · 01/04/2022 20:27

We have been advised to make sure we pay by dd so they have our bank details. I've already had my payment schedule for council tax and the payment taken today was correct.
I shan't be happy if it's taken off the ct

Redglitter · 01/04/2022 20:29

I'm gutted we're not getting ours as payment. They've just taken £150 off our council tax bills 😡

Cheesechips · 01/04/2022 20:30

No but I doubt most councils would be as quick to get payments in by 1st.

Ffsmakeitstop · 01/04/2022 20:31

@OnlyFoolsnMothers

No How do you get it is not on direct debit ?
Go on gov.co.uk. it should tell you how to apply. We had a leaflet in with our bill to say we can claim from 4th April and hopefully will be paid by end of April.
Hotpinkangel19 · 01/04/2022 20:32

Our council said it will be paid after making April's first payment, which is 25th here.

bellabasset · 01/04/2022 20:35

It's meant to be a cash payment, which hopefully will cover my extra summer costs. If you're in Bands AtoD and pay by dd it will be paid direct, otherwise I think you need to contact your council about the repayment.

knivesandspoons · 01/04/2022 20:40

Do you have to claim or is it done automatically

Xpologog · 01/04/2022 20:51

I read that if you pay by DD you get £150 paid into your bank a/c sometime in April
If you pay annually £150 is deducted from the bill.

DrBrennerFan · 01/04/2022 20:53

Nice one I know where that’s going savings.

User199999 · 01/04/2022 20:53

No, my council says between April - September it will be paid. More quickly if paying by Direct debit

grafittiartist · 01/04/2022 20:55

We did.

NocturnalPolevaulter · 01/04/2022 20:55

No. We got our bill a few weeks ago with £150 knocked off the annual total. Scotland.

Stravaig · 01/04/2022 20:56

Mine was automatically deducted from next year's Council Tax bill, which I received a couple of weeks ago (in Scotland).
