To presume car is a gift - wishful thinking

My dad is employed by a car manufacturer and he had 2 cars on the employee lease scheme (I am the named driver on one and pay him the lease amount each month) and In December he returned one car. In January a payment was taken via dd for my car and a partial payment for his returned car. Then in February nothing was taken. I know sometimes if a dd bounces (it didnt as the dd is still showing on banking and ample funds available) the company will try again in 10days, after 10 days - nothing, they didn't try again. My dad phoned them to query this as was worried if there had been a admin error this would cancel my insurance aswell as the lease comes as a package, they apologised and said the next month they would take both February and March payment. March payment date has been and gone, they have not taken March payment either. AIBU to email them thanking them for the gift of a car as I don't feel I should have to keep chasing this up, for the resolve of the chasing not to happen. How can I get them to let me pay for my car?!
