Do you tip pizza delivery guys if you've paid online??
I'm in Scotland if that makes any difference

Yes. A couple of quid in cash usually. Although I don’t when they completely ignore the delivery instructions and phone from outside the post office. If you had read my instructions, you’d be nowhere near the post office!

We started tipping a small amount during the pandemic as we were just so grateful they were delivering (nurse and NHS worker in the household!).

We've continued the practice; some platforms let you add this online, with others we use cash. We don't get many takeaways though, one or two a month maximum. Unless the service was diabolically bad (which has happened sometimes), we'd tip in a restaurant, I guess, which was part of our rationale.

I don't think it's necessarily an expectation though, some of the drivers are very surprised when we tip cash.

I don't but that's because where I live they're still very strict on no contact (or were last week) so it's all been pay online and they leave it on the doorstep.
I guess I could put some money outside the door but i live on a main Street and I suspect someone else might just take it

We've stopped tipping Dominos since they added a £1.99 delivery fee. We always tip on Deliveroo. Just Eat doesn't have the option to tip online so we only tip if we have spare cash.

Yes. I don't think it's relevant that you've paid for the food, it's not the delivery driver that received the payment, same as a waitress isn't the one who receives it in a restaurant so I'll tip them as well

Yes I always tip a couple of £. Since Covid I wash it and wrap it in a bit of kitchen towel. It's always young people, maybe students, and they do appreciate it. Doesn't make a big difference to me but it might to them

No, don't tip delivery drivers unless they've gone above and beyond or done something amazing- yet to happen.
