To think gym bro was attention seeking

At the gym, there is a guy on the stair master thing. He’s very very loud, making what sound like sex noises basically. He keeps glancing around as well.

To put this in perspective, I’m wearing noise cancelling headphones and I have hearing loss. It was ridiculous.

I did look for some gym staff to have a quiet word, but couldn’t see anyone.

Can’t you start competing with him?

He’s gone now, but still, what was the point in all that carry on.

No thank you. Plus I don’t think I’m up to putting in quite so much effort.

I tend to get a bit grunty and/or sweary when at max effort. I do try to keep it under control, though, especially if there is anyone near me. Hard to say if he was showing off or looking round to see if he was annoying anyone.
