To be worried about a 2 day period?

On Tuesday I had to go to Gynae for an internal examination (due to some cervical erosion). I was due to start my period when I went but hadn’t actually started up to the point that I went in for the appointment. Consultant said upon looking in that I had indeed started my period. I got home without any sanitary protection with no issues. The period started properly that night.

It was very heavy all yesterday and this morning and has now completely stopped. All in all … a 2 day period?!

I’m worried anyway about cervical changes and this has just added to it!

YABU - nothing weird about a 2 day heavy period
YANBU - yep, that sounds dodgy

How old are you?

GeneLovesJezebel · 31/03/2022 20:53

As I got older I started my period, then it stopped for about 12/24 hours, then started again.
They do change.

I'm 44 and mine have got shorter recently, usually only last two full days.

In my 20/30’s my periods were anything from 30-60 days between, as I got into my 40’s they dropped to 25/28 days.

I often have nothing for 24 hours on day 3 or 4 of my period, followed by another light day or two. Last month it stopped altogether on day 4. I had a stressful month which can throw it off.
