Slightly at a loss today as daughter came home and burst into tears as she had been told by another girl that she had "fat boobs" and was not "skinny", along with being lame and "trash".
Daughter is 10 and is clearly just hitting puberty - she feels self conscious which is normal. I know the mother and she seems like a decent person, wants the best for her child, who she encourages to be competitive but her daughter seems aggressive towards mine.
I wouldn't normally get involved in girls disagreeing at this age - but this crossed a line for me and seems to be designed to get at her self esteem. There has been some physical shoulder barging.
AIBU unreasonable to involve the school? Or is pointless and I should tell my daughter to mean up and get her back, because this girl seems to have decided mine is unacceptable competition?
