To call 111 about this covid agony?

Currently on day 12, still testing a faint positive. On day 8 as other symptoms subsided, the lymph nodes on one side of my neck swelled up, which I kinda expected, but weird it's just on one side. By day 9 I'm in agony, lump hurts everytime I swallow, pain travels right round my head, giving me headache, nausea, earache, even my teeth are hurting, all just on that side. No temperature or skin redness, not even much visible swelling. Co-codamol reduces the pain moderately for about 2-3 hours then it starts up again. No sign of it getting better, in fact, seems to be getting worse. The pain is unbearable. What the hell is going on? And will 111 just tell me to go to walk-in?

I think you should call 111. I hope you feel better soon.

I have Aphthous (canker) ulcers inside my throat (around the arch behind my tonsils and I suspuct elsewhere) and the pain is similar to what you describe.

A quick google suggest this is not uncommon with covid.

So get a torch and have a good look.

Thank you both. 111 reckons bacterial throat infection. On the antibiotics now!
