Does decathlon delivery really take that long??

Need some sporty stuff for dd at quite short notice for a trip end of next week.
Spent ages on decathlon website choosing stuff then go to checkout and it says estimated delivery 20th April… collection is the same! Does it really take that long?
Am feeling grumpy now as will have to look elsewhere and found some real bargains. Wish I’d known before I started shopping!

Hi, I've ordered quite a bit from there and it always comes quicker e.g no longer then a week. But I suppose it depends what you have ordered. Hope it comes soon Smile

I order from there fairly often and they’ve always arrived within a week

I ordered from there last Thursday and it said delivery 10th April but actually arrived yesterday

Same thing happened to me OP, ordered a load of stuff for skiing for DC very last minute and it said delivery would take 3 weeks even for click and collect, and the delivery to Asda option wasn’t available.
I’d wasted an hour selecting stuff and adding it to basket so I was pretty cheesed off. Ended up ordering everything from Trespass and Sports direct instead but would have preferred to order from decathlon. I wasn’t impressed.
You could go to a store if you have one near and have time.

Thanks everyone
Think I will place the order and gamble a bit on it coming in time, but maybe order back ups on Amazon that are easy for return

Just not what you expect really, I mean it’s more than 3 weeks away!

I've ordered from them several times and their delivery dates have always been correct, including the one which said it would take a couple of weeks. If I remember correctly it says somewhere in then fine print which warehouse the deliveries are coming from and to expect a longer time from some.

It’s this that stopped me ordering from decathlon how quickly it comes can be so hit or miss.
The last time I ordered to collect at store it took days longer than it said it would too. I just gave up and don’t bother now.

Last time I ordered there, I got my stuff within a couple of days despite a three week estimated delivery time. It was all non- urgent so it didn’t matter to me - but if you have a back up plan, I’d say it was worth a punt

I gave it a few days but was still at the processing stage no sign of being dispatched and still let me cancel so I just did that, as I’m rubbish at returning stuff on time.
Annoying but at least I know now and won’t be using them again!

Ordered twice, really shit service and the quality was so poor it all went back. Slow return process, now stuck with a £50 credit.
