If it’s actual gold then it’s not that expensive. Gold costs a lot.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 28/03/2022 19:04

seems quite cheap, especially if it includes a chain.

BurntEnds · 28/03/2022 19:05

No seems reasonable

carefullycourageous · 28/03/2022 19:06

I do not wear gold but that does not seem a lot to me, if it is solid gold.

luxxlisbon · 28/03/2022 19:07

If you don’t want to spend that then don’t. “Too expensive” is a bit of an abstract question. Something is worth what someone will pay for it.
If this company are in business and selling the item then it likely isn’t too expensive for many people.

HermioneWeasley · 28/03/2022 19:09

If it’s actual gold, that’s a bargain. If it’s vermeil, then that sounds about right though you can probably get cheaper as well

HoboSexualOnslow · 28/03/2022 19:09

It all depends if you can afford it or not?

Hugasauras · 28/03/2022 19:09

Surely that's an impossible question! Gold comes in all different carats, some things are just gold-plated, etc. I'm sure there are gold initial necklaces on sale for far more than £45!

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 28/03/2022 19:11

Cheap for solid gold.

About the going rate for gold plate / gold fill.

Too much for gold tone.

Sciurus83 · 28/03/2022 19:13

Errrr no not at all that's cheap, even for vermeil/plated.

mynameiscalypso · 28/03/2022 19:14

I've found one on net a porter for 3 grand.

SoulOfPaddington · 28/03/2022 22:25

Thanks guys. What is a good site to get an initial from and a chain?

Shiningpath · 28/03/2022 22:39

What’s your price range? You seem to have quite a different opinion to people who have replied to you.

LolaO · 28/03/2022 22:45

These might work - lots of gold initial pendants. The plain solid gold ones work out about £38 with the 20% discount the site is advertising… www.tjc.co.uk/jewellery/pendants/?prefn1=pendantStyle&prefv1=Alphabet
