Clipping toenails in public?

I brought my boys to the local indoor climbing walls for a training session, I have to hang around in the seating /eating area as they're still underage and must have a parent available.
So of course I'm on my phone & laptop. Not paying too much attention to other groups of people.
Bloke sits down directly to my left, didn't really notice until I heard the sound of nail clippers while out of the corner of my eye I can see he's bent over his feet.
He does both feet then pulls on shorts (didn't notice he had removed clothes?!!), then wanders off to go climb.
I'm not unreasonable in thinking this is really bleurgh am I?

I know climbing shoes are snug but why couldn't he do it at home, and wash his hands afterwards!?

Not sure why he had his shorts off, but in my experience lots of ablutions and grooming are now considered acceptable to do in public.

No end of people do their nails and makeup on the train, they faff about with their hair, I once even saw a man apply (roll on, thankfully) deodorant.

I personally think it should all be done at home but that's just me...

Definitely not ok. Climbing shoes are tight so if he needed to cut his nails he should have gone to the bathroom to do it, that’s probably the most appropriate place in this situation (assuming he couldn’t do them at home)

Bloody hell. If he needed to cut his nails to put his climbing shoes on, he could have gone to the loos to do that. Especially if he also needed to remove his shorts?! Unacceptable.
