I tested positive for covid 9 days ago with a faint line that showed up on a lft within the time limit and I presumed I had covid. Every day since I have tested negative, including day 6 and 7 when I went to a family wedding thinking I was safe to do so. Today, day 9 I have just tested again just to see and it’s a really strong positive. How does this make sense? Did I not actually test positive because the line was faint and I’m just positive today? I’m supposed to be back to work tomorrow and now unsure what I should be doing. I’m in a country where we are still to isolate for 10 days unless testing negative on day 6/7 or 7/8 or 8/9. So now I’m really worried that I’ve passed it on to my vulnerable family members 😩. Should I isolate for another 10 days (work will think I’m taking the piss) or just presume the positive was positive, I’ve done my isolation period and forget I even tested as it’s known you can still test positive for weeks/months after?

Yes go back to work. You've followed the rules.

You should've got a PCR to confirm your original result.

But since you can't do anything about that now I'd just assume that you've done your time and go back to work but maybe be a bit cautious just incase
