I’ve had a weird bug/virus the last week and the last few days I’ve had what I think is brain fog, horrible feeling just can’t seem to shake it, like it’s hard to properly think straight and I feel floaty like, not dizzy but just not right?! Please tell me it will go lol and how can I shake it off for work?!

Alternate nostril breathing can help when you need to focus.

Also, there may be a reason behind your brain fog, so it may be worth getting a blood test.

Thank you, I ll try that. I had it when I had covid and it’s now a lingering symptom of this bug I’ve had? I presume it’s brain fog - just feeling spaced out and not right?

Just time and rest. I’ve just got over a virus and residual brain fog. Once the viral symptoms had eased a spent a good week just resting, bare minimum house work, ordering groceries online etc. getting very early nights and it’s finally lifted. Similar symptoms to you being unable to focus and not feeling with it all even though I felt ‘well’

Thank you @emmaluggs that’s reassuring to hear! Although did you still manage to work and just put up with it during that time? It’s a weird symptom to describe isn’t it

Resting as much as possible if you are able to wfh try that as there is less sensory input at home

Rainydays55 · 27/03/2022 16:33

How long does it normally take to lift? Is it a common thing after viruses/bugs?

I'm a month after Covid and still getting it on and off. Dr said that's usual for a couple of months

Rainydays55 · 27/03/2022 16:35

It’s so frustrating, how do you keep positive with it?!

I still managed to work, but I did trouble with being productive, I’m working from home so used to make my lunch and lie down. Used to go for a walk on my lunch.

Yes the only other time I’ve really felt it was after childbirth where I was exhausted and felt like I was observing things going on rather than actually being there.
