To wish I’d had my babies closer to my friends?

I had my first baby at 40. I wouldn’t say most of my friends were notably young mums but I’d say most had first baby around 32-34 and last baby 36-37. So most have children at primary school now.

I’m out of sync. It’s only a couple of years so shouldn’t be a huge deal but I missed out on the baby stage, toddler activities, and now it’s hard to meet up with the children As all at different ages and stages.

I'm in exactly the same position but my friends kids are all young teenagers and mine are toddlers. They're just getting their freedom back while mine is seriously curtailed for the first time in my life. You will cope, I either meet up with them in the evening and leave DH with the kids. Alternatively we have found things to do together all the kids enjoy, yesterday I met up up some friends and their young teens at a country park for a walk and picnic (it had a park and bouncy castles for kids of all ages) places you can all go are out there.

Talk to your friends, their kids were that age once so they will know all the good places to go but are out of practice at considering younger ones, they likely need a reminder xxx
