Posting here for traffic as I don't know what to do.
My 19 month old son had an umbilical hernia when he was born which the gp pushed back in.
No problems since then until 2 days ago when I noticed a lump about an inch above his bellybutton. We went to the a&e as he was really upset and off his food and milk all day and they told us to monitor him and take him to the children's hospital if he gets worse.
Today when he woke up he was really upset and I noticed conning on his tummy like I had when I was pregnant. He doesn't let me touch it and I don't know if it's normal or his hernia worsened.
