Covid and DD

My ex cancelled his contact weekend with our DD5 last month as he had tested positive for Covid. DD had literally only just got over it so I wouldn't have minded her going still, but ex said he was far too ill to look after her. Fair enough.

I have now tested positive and am quite frankly, feeling horrendous. It's my weekend to have DD but I messaged my ex and asked if he would have her (I've avoided going near her as much as possible and she's testing negative), even if just for one night. He's off this weekend. He text back and said absolutely not as it's not his turn to have her.

AIBU in that he should maybe help out? Happy to he told that I am if that's the case though (the fever might be clouding my judgement!).

You've asked and he's said no. He's made clear is priorities and that he's only a parent when it suits him so I'd just leave it and get over it and be thankful you aren't still with him. Hope you feel better soon.

This his why he's an ex he's not focused on his daughter and what would be best for her. I hope you feel better soon Flowers
