Overpriced gift

H has ordered me a gift which I've just accidentally seen.

He bought it online and it's something available for THREE TIMES less in store. I also already have this item.

Would you return and say nothing? It's Amazon so it's come through to my email address. Or would you accept and just keep quiet about it being so overpriced?

Give the email came to your email address, why don't you just tell him? It's hardly an accident that you saw it.

Start wearing/using the one you have and say 'can't believe this is only £x now when I paid £×-?

Depends. Did he spend £12 when it’s £4 In store? Or did he spend £150 when it’s £50 in store. For the sake of £8 I wouldn’t bother but £100 I would….and get myself something else!! 😂

He obviously thinks you are worth it! If it isn't going to put your joint/his finances in jeopardy then I wouldn't say anything and I would wear/use the new item rather than the old one. That is because I know that my husband would have put a lot of thought into it and would be very hurt if he thought that I didn't want it. Your circumstances may be different of course.

No it was an accident. As he told me not to look at Amazon emails. I deleted the order confirmation one then this AM I had a reply reply payment declined one on a subscription (I have a new card). There was another one and I thought they were linked but it was actually an order dispatch notification and I stupidly opened it.

I think I'm also a bit miffed as I've been talking about something I'd really like and he said it was expensive and a rip off but it was the same price as this!!!

I would wear the one I have and secretly return the new one.
