My GP has moved a to a system where by to get a non-urgent consultation you have to fill an eConsult form during surgery hours. This will then generate a phone consult appointment for you, but this is not an appointment this is a GP with phone you between 8.30am and 7pm on the prescribed day. Even if you put on the eConsult that you have limited access to phone they ignore these times.
So if you have multiple chronic health conditions and work a 45hour week in a clinical setting not able to answer your phone you are totally unable to realistically access regular medical care.
What I don't understand is why I can't book a phone consult in advance at a time that is mutually convenient?
