Today is the last day to apply for an EHIC card

It would entitle you to to free state medical care in the EU for 5 years.
If you have one already there's no harm renewing it.
Sent from our NHS work whatsap group so can't verify but seems kosher.

I don't think you can apply for an EHIC unless you've been living in the EU since Jan 2021. UK people should apply for a GHIC instead, which is basically the same thing.

Actually, I am a UK resident and applied for an EHIC card last autumn, as I often spent time in Europe.

You can still apply for a new version but I believe the ‘last day’ thing ( which I was told yesterday) isn’t true.

Thanks for this reminder. I've just renewed mine now. It ran out in 2020 and I'm off on holiday in the EU in June.

Thanks for the reminder. It doesn't look like there is a cut off date tomorrow for applications.
