I had discounted buying a robovac ages ago as I thought I would have to pay a fortune for a decent one as cheap ones would crap (and everything is more expensive in Australia). After reading a few threads here I bought a Eufy slimline and it has been revolutionary. I am a lazy housekeeper at the best of times and this little thing potters round and gets most of the dog hair up. We are mainly on one level and a lot of the flooring is wooden so the fact that it doesn’t to the funkier stuff is irrelevant. It does hate cables though!
