I do not have children of prodigious talent but wtaf is this.

And I do not doubt she is making £££££ via her father (and mother) in the USA but why do I feel the sentiment / motivation for excellence is lacking in the UK?

She's phenomenal.

But one child musical prodigy doesn't have any link to general UK "motivation for excellence"....?

There are many many talented young musicians in the UK. They end up studying at music conservatoires and having fantastic careers.

What about Sheku Kanneh-Mason and his incredibly talented siblings?

I love Karolina Protsenko, I can (and do) listen to her playing for hours.

Can't say I've ever extrapolated her talent as a condemnation of the whole of the UK's attitude to excellence, however.
