To breed my insect lore butterflies

We have been doing the cup of caterpillars for a few years now and have always wanted to raise our own..I currently have 9 chrysalis ready to hatch next week and i might let them lay eggs before release.
Has anyone else successfully raise butterflies doing it this way? if so any advice is welcome

I had this exact same thought as they are currently in my kitchen waiting for butterflies to emerge however when I read the frequently asked questions on insect lore it is unwise as you'll likely get hundreds of eggs from one butterfly it seems.

A female butterfly only lays eggs over a 2-5 week period. During this time, she probably lays an average of 300-400 eggs in the wild. Numbers in captivity are higher - about 500-700 depending on things like temperature and the conditions under which the female is kept.
