Bit of a specific topic but..

I’ve been working as a biomedical scientist for the nhs for 8 years now and found the job has steadily been getting worse. Curious whether this is just the lab I work in or happening elsewhere and hear others opinions.
Does anyone enjoy their job as a BMS in an NHS lab?

I'm in histology, I enjoy my current lab, but the previous two were nightmares, a third I was offered a position was well known for being horrendous.

I do know a lot of people in other labs who are not happy, overworked, too much paperwork, not enough staff, and the regulars being off sick
That said there were five of us in today, including me as the rest have covid. I'm not meant to work today, so it's been a little tense.
