My (old) dog has taken a turn for the worse. Do I phone the vet and get them out of bed to euthanase or wait till 9am & phone in?

I would phone them to come out. So sorry for you having to make this decision, but you know you have to do what’s best for the dog.

If you are not able to keep him comfortable overnight (eg give him pain relief if he is in pain) then I think you need to call the vet. You might be put through to an emergency service though. So sorry you are going through this.
