Hello, wife and I are currently renting and the tenancy ends this summer. We expect that the rent is gonna shoot up, and I'm started to loathe paying higher amounts for a one bed apartment when we couldn't potentially make lower mortgage payments for a bigger place.
But am I being unreasonable in considering this considering the current climate with fuel, energy, war in Ukraine and general living costs going up?
My thoughts are that they will go up regardless and least this way we'd have our own home. Or am I being reckless in considering this? Is this a bonkers idea!?
