Lump on 6 yr old ds's thigh

I think i have seen this brownish patch on his thigh for over a year ago but today I felt there is a lump under it and the brown patch blanches when pressed. It doesn't hurt him and I haven't seen the brownish ting grown in diameter or anything. I googled and it says cancer ....urgh! I am embarrassed of myself for being a google mum. Posting here if anyone can relate to it, I'll be contacting gp tomorrow anyways...i am a person who really calmes down when I hear any similar stories from other mums, like I guess i can relate with them 🌸 hopefully it's nothing but if anyone can help..pictures attached.

Everyone Google’s, they shouldn’t because it always says cancer or that you will die in 5 hours….but we still Google 😂

I’m not a doctor but that doesn’t look like anything to overly worry about. Call the gp tomorrow obviously but I wouldn’t be getting anxious over that and I’m normally a anxious person.

Nothing to worry about 🙄 you literally have no idea. OP just get it seen at docs, if you Google painless lumps it will always say cancer but don't take that as gospel. Get it checked ASAP.

Is it where he had vaccinations? My 5yo has one which has been there since his MMR jab when he was 1

Yes , upper right thigh. Is your child's mark feels like a lump/thick skin?

Yep. It also really irritates him sometimes so he makes his skin sore from scratching. I've had appointments with the pediatric surgeon about having it removed but he won't do it yet because the anesthetic is too risky when they're young. The doc says it's a fatty lump that can form after some vaccines 😪

YellowHpok · 20/03/2022 22:43

Mine had one like that. It grew to about 0.5cm, was really hard. Ended up having it removed under general anaesthetic so they could biopsy it and it was just some benign cyst (thankfully). Definitely have a chat with your GP about it, if nothing else so they can reassure you.

My two year old has a faint purple one of these I think it appeared after his jabs but he doesn’t have one on the other side and it hasnt changed in appearance. I’ve never felt it though! I’m going to do a nappy change in a minute so I’ll see what it feels like.
I’d see the GP though

Oh poor bubble, hope he gets better soon. My boy's lump doesnt hurt or itch , it doesn't really feel like a lump really it's more like a thick skin feels. I hope it's nothing too.

My ds also got it only on one side, upper right thigh. The pinkish tinge blanches when I press it, does your child's react the same? My boy is 6 been ages to his vaccination n I can't really recall the time but yeah it's been the same from a year or so but the thickening/lump I've just happened to notice hence the panic 😅
