To want another voice

Specifically, Charlotte Gainsbourg's?
There's nothing wrong with my own voice, but you know when you think you're ok looking but see a gorgeous woman and think 'oh my god', it's like that!
I've never even considered my voice or anyone else's before, but after hearing her speak, over various films, i'm stunned.

When I hear a recording of my voice it sounds like an odd whine, a bit nasal, and I am horrified, lol. I wonder if it is possible to choose to change it, not to be 'someone else' but to just love it more. I wouldn't want to feel like an arse about it but a slight improvement might be nice.
People always say you have to be 'yourself' but what if an alteration IS more yourself?

mmm....

It's just me? Grin

I must say I do think i speak too fast, often excitedly. I perhaps need to sloooow it down..

I hate hearing my own voice on a recording. I can't believe I sound so awful!!

My one piece of negative feedback when I worked at an investment bank in my twenties was that my voice wasn’t manly enough. Sorry I am not a man 🙄😁

it's a pity we can't try and buy new ones online.

It's always a shock when I hear my voice Shock I'm loving Caroline Lee's voice and accent at the moment, having listened to a couple of audio books she's narrated. I don't think Charlotte Gainsbourg's voice is anything amazing, but it's pleasant enough.
