Tampon Tax

AIBU to think I don't feel better that the government have donated money to women's charities from the Tampon Tax? It was scrolling across the screen in small writing across Comic Relief...

Tampon tax has been abolished. (It was an EU tax, so could only be done after Brexit transition, so took place in Jan 2021 - rest of EU is still 'intending' to abolish, and is doing simiiar to the pre-Brexit UK. Which is follow the EU VAT rules, but refuse to put the proceeds into government coffers and donate instead

There was an open consultation about which charities should benefit
