Could anyone tell me if their cleaners prices have increased. We paid. £12.00 per hour in 2020 it increased to
£14.00 last year and has now increased to 16.00 this year. Is this a reasonable increase

Well everything else is going up. Cleaners will have increased costs also.

bluebuses · 16/03/2022 22:13

I realise that I wondered if this is a normal rate for it to go up

North East
.

£13 to £15 an hour independent, £20+ through a company.

ComDummings · 16/03/2022 22:18

In my area it’s £15-17 an hour generally

Prices have gone up a huge amount here (outer London). We were paying £13 in 2020 and are now paying £18.75. This is for a different cleaner (the £13 one became really unreliable) but I couldn’t find anyone for much less than the new one and she is really good.

I think it’s really hard to fill roles at the moment so people have other options and can charge more.

Thank you ladies for your replies. I think part of the issue is our cleaner is okay but not fantastic

Thank you ladies for your replies. I think part of the issue is our cleaner is okay but not fantastic. We still have to clean at the weekend to do what she misses. We accept this as we like her and she is totally trustworthy

I have been paying £15 to an agency, they've put their prices up to £18 Shock so i have cancelled and have found someone for a much more reasonable price.

Flavabobble · 16/03/2022 23:46

It's your choice isn't it?
You either think she's worth £16.00 an hour or she isn't. Entirely your decision.
