Just hope her MH will recover. Sad for her parents left behind, knowing they’ll not see her again unless they can get out.

It's more the fault of the Iranians to be honest. Also Johnson hasn't been PM for five years even if it was his fault.

As foreign secretary he implied she had been spying on Iran and it's widely agreed that this set back her release.

So pleased for her that she and the other detainee are on their way home. Gabriella is 8 shortly and with the 6 year detention of her mother this will be the first birthday she'll be able to remember being with both her parents

I'm delighted she's coming home.

No. As I have understood it from the beginning, she had taken little girl to visit her parents. Not working there is any way. Why BJ made those comments is still unknown. I had a friend married to an Iranian and visiting his family was a bit of a nightmare. Going alone, he travelled in on a British passport but out on Iranian with British passport well hidden. Friend refused to go as a family when son reached 14 /15 as she was terrified they’d be detained and him forced into the army. They announce on the plane when it enters Iranian airspace and women are told to cover their heads. She said she always felt on edge the whole time there and was so relieved to be on the plane home.

Let’s hope Patel doesn’t stop her coming home because her passports expired!
