Suggestions on how school can help Ukrainian refugees in the UK?

I am a teacher - some pupils at my school are interested in raising money/collecting donations to help Ukraine. I’m aware that most places collecting resources to take to Ukraine have stopped as they were overwhelmed with donations/have difficulty transporting them there, but is anyone aware of anything set up for refugees coming to/newly arrived in the UK (and in particular in Hertfordshire/London)? We will be raising money but would also like to collect physical donations if possible. Any ideas/links to charities would be appreciated.

Petition your local authority and head to take Ukrainian refugees into good local schools. My husband's family are about to arrive from Ukraine and I'd love them to have the choices my kids had but good schools in our area are oversubscribed, despite those schools being the best placed to provide the support that will be needed.
In a more direct answer to your question, probably your local food Bank. Elderly Ukrainians in particular will struggle as not entitled to Universal Credit. Wonderful to see people's support in these horrible circumstances.
