Assertiveness is not my forte so bear with.
Having work done in my house...new doors and adding some cupboards and a few other things. I live alone. This guy is a sort of friend of the family so if i lose it i could ruffle alot of feathers. Last Friday as he was leaving..he says I'll be there Monday and do the doors to the hall cupboards and sort understairs cupboard. Arrive back from work Monday pm ....he had put a bit of skirting on. Nothing else. So wfh today. No show and No message. So I've sent him a message saying' can you let me know when you'll next be here' . Think he is also doing work else where. I could nearly cope with it if he just did what he said he was going to do , instead of telling you one thing and not doing it. Just say I won't be there until Wednesday or whatever. Bloody hell. They're all the frigging same !!! This 'job' was supposed to take 4 days. The doors took 2 weeks to get longer than anticipated. Then he went on holiday for a week. Then he phoned in sick one day. Hung the frigging doors then told me afterwards they needed oiled. So oiling them is going to be alot harder with them hung and with handles on.
I asked him specifically to sort one room out first so I can get it painted and the furniture moved from one room to the next so work can start in the other room. Did he do it ...no course not..... what language do they speak because none of them seem to understand.
