To wonder if I should get baby checked at A&E for this

Was getting sorted upstairs in nearly 5yo DD's bedroom earlier. DD was in 4mo baby DD's room playing with her.Baby DD was in her bouncer.

I went back into the bedroom to find older DD pushing on the bouncer chair making it shake/bounce pretty violently.

Obviously rushed over stopped her straight away and was firm with her about not doing it, and took baby.

Baby wasn't crying and didn't seem traumatised by it in any way, but i had seen her head move quickly back and forth afew times, lifting off the back of the chair slightly each time.

Baby seems fine since- no head injury related red flags (it happened a couple of hours ago)

Am I over reacting wondering whether to get her double checked at A&E in abit??

Hey @Mummyof287 it might be worth a call to 111 for advice

I'm sure the 5yo didn't produce enough force to risk "shaken baby" injuries, but 111 will be able to put your mind at ease

Thanks for your reply @FooFighter99- i might just do that for peace of mind!

My then 2 year old used to do this to DS when he was a bit older than your DC and DS used to laugh about it… Honestly no harm done at all. I think your baby will be ok.

I wouldn’t take her to A&E but you could ring 111 if you were worried.

Over-enthusiastic bouncing in a bouncy chair is not enough force to cause your baby any damage, please don't worry.

You have to shake babies very violently to cause harm. I don't believe your 4 year old could create enough force to harm baby.

Maybe take this as a warning though and don't leave them unattended together in future.
