What to do with week off?

I know it's such a strange question but having locumed for 5yrs I now have a permanent job with the perks of annual leave

As a locum worker, although I would have the odd Friday or Monday off so effectively a long weekend, I can't remember the last time that I basically had 9 days off in a row🥳🥳🥳

I am literally so excited about this, but at the same time don't know what to do with myself

Kids will be at school throughout the day, yay!!!

Some ideas I think for this week;

IKEA breakfast
Getting hair done
A bit of clothes shopping
Could paint kids room but wanted to leave this to the summer, when room would dry more quickly, also don't wanna go back to work more exhausted than I already am 😮
Could visit newborn nephew again
I want to practice an important journey that I will need to make in rush hour

So give me some ideas of your perfect week off (ideally with some of the tasks above included) so I can plan my week a bit rather than waste it

Gardening! Ready for spring....germinate some seeds, dig over, mulch and prune. Visit a garden centre

Painting....most paint is water based now so dries within an hour or two....also,paint isn't great in hot weather. Do it now, perfect time of year

Ancestry.... get yourself a membership and create your family trees! It's there then for your kids to look at one day

Day out somewhere interesting (pretty city, museum, art gallery etc)

Ahh enjoy your time off!!

Your ideas sound fab...but don't forget the importance of actually resting..... a netflix afternoon, or an evening with your favourite movie and tea and biscuits....

I'm on leave for a week soon.......I can't wait either!!

Long walk in a wood, bath, lunch, book, crafting, gym, swimming, a nap, a film with no phone in my hand, browsing charity shops, doing a puzzle, playing the computer, gardening, spa treatment, beach walk, library. So many things! Enjoy! X

My week off literally consisted of a bit of house work just to tidy the place up, sleeping to catch up on sleep and snuggling up on the sofa under a blanket with DCat whilst watching Netflix and Disney + oh and a couple of hours for a few days doing my NVQ done whilst watching sex education

I have a random week off as well soon and am planning a day in a nearby city visiting an art gallery, meeting a friend for lunch and another for a walk and hiring an ebike for the day

Cinema or Theatre

If weather is pants and everyone left for school I would make a lovely large mug of tea /coffee and take up to bed and snuggle under duvet with a new book

Visit garden/NT property - lovely long walk

Fish & Chips at the beach

Go to the Van Gogh immersive exhibtion in London (if London is doable for you)

Brunch out at sone lovely town with good independent shops and nice cafes to choose from

Spend an afternoon tidying my garden , followed by tea & cake and a browse online at Crocus etc for inspiration for this years baskets, pots etc

Sign up for a virtual event

When I have time off I either do absolutely fuck all or I go away for a hectic few days away.
