IKEA småland - will it reopen in the UK?

Closed due to covid. Our local one doesn't look like it's going to reopen..staff don't know anything. Anyone got some insider information ? I miss my 45 mins quiet cuppa....

They have taken it out of cardiff ikea now. Just another display area now.

I think it's a shame too! Still shut at Bristol.

Our local one looks like it has closed down permanently. Shame, as my 3 and a half year old DD would have loved it! She was too little to use it before.

Sheffield looks like it has been emptied.

Gutted as it was a fantastic resource so I could fly round to pick up kitchen bits and have a cuppa in peace

My local one (Queensland, Australia) is also closed.

I’ve been waiting for it to reopen for a while as my dd(2) would probably love it.

I had a sneak peak through the doors a couple of weeks ago while holding a hot dog. Squeaked the little barn doors open and there was a bloody conference or massive group training happening in there.

Probably 60 men suddenly went silent and turned all at once upon hearing the squeaky door so I backed out slowly. It was still child friendly decorated but I couldn’t see any toys or play equipment.

Ours became the click and collect location. Don’t know if they’re planning on turning it back. I guess they’d need to see they were losing business and if it’s all mums having a free cuppa and not buying much, I guess it might not.

My entire local IKEA has closed down never mind the kids bit! Think yourselves lucky. (Yes I'm bitter and jealous!)
