Is SATC worth watching?

I'm 30, have enjoyed both the SATC movies and enjoyed the reboot 'And Just Like That'. However, people have spoke to say the film and reboot is nothing like the SATC series.

Just wondering if it's worth my time watching it? Did you enjoy it? Would you recommend? Is there a huge difference between the films and reboot versus the original series?

I’m watching it out of nostalgia after watching AJLT and I think if you enjoyed what you have seen, it’s good to fill in the gaps but be aware it’s not aged well! On the surface the fashion is great, but some (many) of the plots are sketchy and the characters verge on caricatures most of the time. Series 1 is very different in tone to the rest of them, and there’s some truly awful over-acting from both guest stars and regulars in the later series.

I hated the series, there's no harm in watching one and seeing how you like it.

And Charlotte was also ruined in AJLT. Dreadful scripts and an actress that seems to have lost her skills do not a good combo make.

I loved it at the time and thought the films and the new series were utterly terrible, but I've never felt the desire to rewatch it, it's very of its time, more so than other good shows from that era.

I haven't seen the re-boot so can't compare the two. But the episodes are a half hour long. Watch a couple and decide for yourself?

I think (as with Friends) people have a tendency to over analyse SATC. And people saying 'I think Carrie is really annoying', like they're the first person to have had this thought. It's enjoyable fluff.
