Birthday grudge AIBU

My mum and I don’t have the closest of relationship, it was my 30th last year and I didn’t get anything from her. I know it’s not about gifts but a card would of been nice to know I had been thought of. I had mentioned it to her and she just laughed it off.

It’s her birthday this week, AIBU to do the same for her 🙃

I wouldn't send her anything, not because of a grudge or to punish her, but because she's quite plainly shown you birthdays and cards aren't important to her.

Same here charlotte. Its crap. Op perhaps a card thats it. My mother same huge fuss for 80 feck all for ours.! Im not doing big gestures going forward

Thank you. 🥳🥳. I’m having an ok day despite a crappy migraine that won’t shift. I’m off to the cinema and then tonight buying myself a Chinese . With a few wines obviously 😊
