Russia is finished on the world stage under Putin so they don’t particularly need him anymore.

They would massively improve their reputation as a country by intervening to prevent WW3.

Unfortunately China is very unlikely to do anything against Russia, if you look through the thread for discussion of China you can see the answer in detail.

It won't happen. China just signed a big fat oil deal with Putin last month.

I may be wrong but are China and Russia not allies? I can't see them getting involved to be honest

China has expansionist ideas of its own. It can't come down too hard on Russia because it could be used against them when they next invade somewhere. Also the Chinese are guilty of appalling human rights breaches, they probably like the fact that for once another country is attracting all this negative attention and is taking the focus away from them.

China wont do anything, simply because they want todo the same thing with taiwan.

This isn't going to happen. China is supporting Russia. They haven't condemned the invasion and they're letting Russia use their banking/finance system. China is an aggressor in its own right. They're allies.
