Anyone had Paxlovid

I tested positive for Covid the other day and have been prescribed Paxlovid.

Has anyone had any experience of this drug? I have the constant taste of nail varnish in my mouth that nothing will shift.

Has anyone had this side effect or any others. On the huge plus side, I've kept well!

That may be a side effect of covid … change in taste is one of the symptoms😞

Hope you feel better soon and get rid of the taste. Have you tried swilling with bicarbonate diluted in water?

Oh that's a good idea. It seems to get worse about an hour after I take the medication, pretty sure it's that or that exacerbated the problem anyway!

I started testing negative from day 4! No side effects I can tell other than the taste in my mouth. It's been brilliant!

I just found this thread.
I was given Paxlovid which I started on Tuesday evening.
Monday and Tuesday I had been really poorly. High temp, coughing, nausea.
After 2 doses I was like a different person.
However, the taste in my mouth is awful. It wakes me at night. It is definitely the drug as it wears off and then starts again after the next dose.
Good to know about testing negative so quickly. I will test again today
