2 year old's birthday party

Hi, my little one will be 2 in a few weeks and we're planning on inviting a few other toddlers round for a birthday party in the afternoon, so there will maybe be 5-6 toddlers at the party.

Do you think we should do party food platters eg sandwiches, sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, crisps, fruit etc or should I just make a hot easy meal for them eg pasta or even fish fingers, chips and beans?

Which would your 2 year olds prefer?

Party platter finger food bits, definitely. Much easier and gives them choice.

Ooooh party food definately
Hope you have a nice party 🎉

Party food all the way! Hope you have a nice party!

Party food definitely. And then the parents finish off all the left overs Grin

Party food in individual boxes for that age.

Pizza usually goes down well if you want to do hot food. Otherwise, party food.

Don't forget to check for food allergies and preferences. Seem to be much more than when I was little

RudeBoss · 04/03/2022 07:08

Thanks all, luckily I know none of the children have food allergies so it makes it a bit easier. What's the best party food to get then that I can enjoy too?

My friend always gets M&S party food when she holds parties. My toddler loves it. She made a heap of simple sandwiches and a big bowl of pasta as well which gave a decent amount of choice.

Sandwiches
Sausage rolls
Salad
Crisps
Cheese sticks
Carrot sticks
Cucumber
Biscuits - especially Jammie Dodgers
Birthday cake
Enough for mums to tuck into

as @BluebellsGreenbells
But maybe add pizza and some hummus and pitta bread, for adults too. X
