Another award for someone who could dish dirt on Johnson. Still, he's one of many who could, but nothing shifts our disastrous PM because they all lack any moral compass.

Gongs for politicians need to stop. Any honours system should honour the fantastic ordinary people quietly doing amazing things because it is the right thing to do.

We need to stop treating people with knighthoods with extra respect. It is, and has always been, a thank you from the powerful to those who’ve compromised their integrity to shore up ‘the system’. The fsct that the government also throw a few knighthoods to admirable ordinary people shouldn’t distract from what it is: a cheap payoff for loyalty to power.
