AIBU Botox and headaches

Posting for traffic but you can tell me if I’m unreasonable as well!

Had Botox for lines in my forehead several years ago and had horrendous headaches after for a few weeks and also a sinus infection which may have been a coincidence. This has put me off having it again but I really would like just a little bit to give a slight brow lift.

I really want to know if anyone has knowledge of Botox and headaches and/or has suffered headache after Botox and could it be down to a particular reason? (It was a proper clinic I went to)

I get a slight headache on the day but it’s usually gone the day after. I know there are different brands and when I had seen a different person who used a cheaper product I had a headache for 3 days. Could you be allergic to Botox? I think the sinus infection is probably more of a coincidence.

Hi, I don't necessarily have the medical knowledge- only that apparently Botox in the forehead can cause headaches for a short time after.
Interestingly the same as you, the first time I had Botox in my forehead, I had a bad headache and looked swollen around my eyes (I was worried the Botox had caused my eyelids to droop). I also then ended up with a sinus infection. Whether it was coincidence or not, I don't know. However I have had Botox in the forehead several times since and don't suffer now. Sometimes it can feel a little heavy for a day or 2 when it kicks in, but that's it.

I had Botox as a treatment for chronic migraine - 42 injections across the forehead, scalp/head, neck and shoulders. I never had any side effects.
