To ask about tear/episiotomy scars years on

I was just wondering if anyone still had trouble with their historic tears/injuries from childbirth?

Is there anything you have done / can use to alleviate the discomfort?

DS1 is now 7 and I had an episiotomy whilst in labour. Unfortunately the stitches broke and it took a long time to heal. It was sore for about a year after, and one GP said there was quite significant scar tissue, but having sex stopped being an issue.
DS2 is nearly 4 and I just had a first degree tear with him, no issues.

The problem I have now is that the episiotomy scar can still get sore/itchy/uncomfortable. It's not bad enough for surgery/revision or anything like that, which is what the GP suggested whilst it was still really painful.

Has anyone been in a similar boat?
