A 111, Out of Hours AIBU

On Sunday we had to call 111 as we needed a doctor to verify DH's death, we had already called the hospice and they were unable to attend so we had to use 111. The doc came eventually and was lovely but yesterday DH got a text to his phone asking him to complete a survey about the service. AIBU to think this is insensitive?

Hugely.
I am very sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. This is very insensitive please contact the service and let them know. Whilst it doesn't make it any better my guess would be is as it was an out of hours GP their system didnt update the automatic patient survey system. They should be able to stop this occurring to others.
I hope you have a good support system around you at this most difficult time. Take care

Not being unreasonable at all. Sorry this has happened. I've been thinking of you. Flowers

gobbynorthernbird · 02/03/2022 19:21

Completely out of order.

And I'm very sorry to hear that your DH has died.

CurbsideProphet · 02/03/2022 19:24

I'm so sorry for your loss 💐
My organisation opts out anyone who has experienced bereavement from any surveys about the service, so it's absolutely not unreasonable to expect that the 111 service could do the same.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've been wondering how you were both doing and I'm so sad to read this.xx

Owlfrog · 02/03/2022 20:56

OMG that's awful.

Did you ring on DHs phone? I get them after every 111 call it’s the standard thing that happens. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Xpologog · 02/03/2022 21:23

No, we called from the landline as our mobile signals aren't reliable here.

His mobile number is his primary number on his medical records though as up until his stroke he was working full time in a job that meant he spent a lot of time driving from customer to customer despite his cancer.

that is just horrid, I am sorry!

You've been on my mind,. I'm hoping you are getting some sleep and lots of support right now. You've been through the mill several times this past year.
