To ask what the best industry for PA work is?

Hey all.. kind of posting for traffic.. sorry

I'm a PA and have been for 6 years, I don't actually want to be a PA forever but no idea what I actually want to do, anyway that's not the point of this thread!

Anyway, I am wondering if anyone has any ideas or experience working in different sectors/industries, and which are the best for this type of work? And also, which industries are on the rise or may be on the rise in the future?

For the last 6 years I have been working in finance and I just find it very .. stuffy..

I am interested in the charity sector, but the pay is obviously not as good, and I figure.. if I'm going to do a job I don't love I'd rather at least get more money for it..

Also considering tech, healthcare, property, media?

In terms of my personality, I care about social impact and making a difference and also care about work life balance, so I don't want an industry where I'm going to be working round the clock - I imagine things like advertising and finance are worst for this.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated! :)

Tech and media are both decent.

If you want glamour and nice perks media for a big boss. If you want more company benefits tech.

Nice perks = free night at hotel like sea containers for example.
Complimentary meals in nice restaurants.
Lots of champagne and gifts at Xmas.

Bosses normally get the staff things like spa hotel trip coach/ MK handbag etc.

I have a friend who is a PA at Astra Zeneca and is paid c. £45k plus bonus and shares. So, pharmaceuticals is a good shout for PA work.

Marketing seems to be a well paid industry and probably chances for promotion. Good luck 🤞

Will look into marketing, but want to stay away from advertising (I know they aren't the same thing) as I have heard bad things about advertising!

Don't work in healthcare, pay is rubbish and is generally very secretarial work.

Good luck
